Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer sustains foot injury in UEFA Champions League!

FC Bayern Munich and Germany international goalkeeper Manuel Neuer fractured his left foot during the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal second-leg defeat to Real Madrid at the Estadio Bernabeu last night.

The 31 year old “sweeper-keeper” sustained the injury moments before Cristiano Ronaldo’s third goal according to a statement released by FC Bayern.

A decision on the appropriate treatment will be taken after an examination of the injury back home in Munich. Manuel Neuer could be set to miss the rest of the season with club chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge having last night said that Neuer would be likely out for eight weeks.
