The worldwide online betting company Betway will become the new premium partner of Schalke 04 on July 1, 2021. The agreement will last for three years and end on June 30, 2024.
Alexander Jobst, board member for marketing, sales and organisation at Schalke 04, said, “Together with Betway, we have agreed a long-term partnership that also gives us security with regard to the new legal regulation of the gambling market in Germany. We are pleased to have secured a strong partner in Betway for this constantly changing market.”
Betway’s global brand presence spans many major sports teams and leagues, including the Bundesliga, English Premier League, La Liga, NHL and NBA.
Maik Brodowski, Betway’s Head of Marketing for Germany, said, “It is a great honour to work with FC Schalke 04 – one of the most well-known names in German football. We look forward to supporting the club and its ambitions on its way back to the Bundesliga.”
The premium partnership will give Betway comprehensive advertising and marketing rights over the coming years.
