Bilingual AIFF D-License Coaching Course conducted in Kolkata!

With the aim of bridging linguistic challenges, a six-day bilingual AIFF D-License Coaching Course has been launched in Kolkata, West Bengal by the All India Football Federation.

The D-License Course, that got underway on Saturday, January 16 is being conducted in English and Bengali as part of a new initiative of covering D-License courses in multiple languages and reaching out to a larger section of aspiring coaches as Indian football moves forward together.

So far, the theory section of the AIFF D-License Course has been created in Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Malayalam and Khasi.

The D-License Course in Kolkata, which concludes on January 21, is being attended by 24 participants, with Kuntala Ghosh Dastidar as the Lead Instructor.

“Coaches were enthusiastic on learning that the course is going to be bilingual, which is more convenient, considering the wide variety of students who register. It is more comprehensive for them when taught in their mother tongue,” Ghosh Dastidar said.

“However, since a few students don’t belong to or understand Bengali, we have to be bi-lingual in conducting the course.” She added, “This addition of registration in all languages in teaching material is a welcome step that will yield better results in the future.”
