Borussia Dortmund to play charity match on September 1 in Hagen!

DFB-Pokal winners Borussia Dortmund will travel to the Ischelandstadion in Hagen to play a charity match on Wednesday, September 1 (17:30 CET). The opponents will be SpVg. Hagen 1911 and SV Hohenlimburg 1910. All proceeds will go to the victims of the flood disaster of July 14.

The match on September 1 will see the Bundesliga giants go head-to-head with teams from the Westfalenliga across two 45-minute halves. In the first half, the BVB first team will take on SpVg. Hagen 1911, while in the second, they’ll face SV Hohenlimburg 1910. The stadium doors will open at 15:30 CET.

Revenue from the TV broadcast will also go to the victims of the flood disaster. The match will be shown live on Sky Sport News, the new BILD tv channel as well as a live stream on BVB-TV by 1&1.

“We will do our part to help those affected by the floods and give all the proceeds from the charity match to the victims,” said Borussia Dortmund chief executive officer Hans-Joachim Watzke.

Tickets for the match can now be booked online via www.BVB-Benefizspiel.de. The prices are €10 for a standing place and €20 for a seated place (choose your own seat). The Ischelandstadion will have a capacity of 4,999 fans for the match.

The preconditions for admission are the ‘3G Rules’

  • Proof of full vaccination
  • Proof of recovering from a Coronavirus infection (letter of confirmation)
  • Proof of a negative Coronavirus test result (no more than 24 hours old)
  • Digital evidence must be presented upon admission
  • All spectators must wear a mask
