Bundesliga: Borussia Dortmund sign bwin as new club Champion Partner!

Eight-time German Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund today announced that international sports betting company bwin as their new Champion Partner. Both parties have concluded a partnership that will initially run for four years until the end of the 2020/21 season.

bwin, which is represented around the world by over 3,200 employees across 20 offices and is active in more than 30 markets, will display its logo at all 17 Bundesliga home games at the Signal Iduna Park (Westfalenstadion) next season (e.g. LED bands, so-called cam carpets and interview back panels) and will provide the BVB fans with the latest odds and information through its app and website.

“In bwin, we have a partner by our side that has a longer association with German football than any other company in the betting industry. bwin has already entered into several partnerships with major players on the European football scene over the course of recent years. We believe that this company is a perfect fit for BVB thanks to its global apeal and its preference for the black and yellow colour combination,” emphasised Carsten Cramer, Borussia Dortmund’s Director for Sales, Marketing and Business Development.

“Echte Liebe (True Love) is the BVB brand promise and it is this love that connects bwin – much like the Black and Yellows and their fans – with football,” said Stephan Heilmann, who is responsible for the bwin brand’s activities in the so-called DACH (German, Austria & Switzerland) region.

“Identification, internationality and a high degree of innovation are other strong values that we have in common. As a BVB Champion Partner, bwin is back in the Bundesliga. We want to involve the BVB fans in our sponsoring as much as we can and we have a range of exciting ideas that we will soon implement both inside and outside the stadium,” Stephan Heilmann added.
