CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe met the press on Saturday, May 29 afternoon at the Saly Beach Soccer Stadium in Dakar before attending the 2021 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations – Senegal final.
Dr. Motsepe met earlier on the day with the President of the Senegalese Republic, Macky Sall. He lauded the successful organization of the Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations, paying tribute to the work done by Augustin Senghor, President of the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) and CAF 1st Vice-President.
The situation of infrastructures in Africa, the reflections on the periodicity of the FIFA World Cup and the pan-African CAF / FIFA inter-schools’ championship were also on the agenda.

“I would like to express my immense gratitude to my brother and friend Augustin Senghor, President of the Senegalese Football Federation, who is also my First Vice President. I think Senegal should be satisfied and happy to have produced the CAF first Vice-President.”

Meeting with President Macky Sall
