I-League side Sreenidi Deccan FC have announced Carlos Vaz Pinto of Portugal as their new head coach for the 2022/23 season.
47 year old Penalva do Castelo born Carlos Vaz Pinto graduated in Physical Education from Instituto Piaget Viseu and was later awarded the UEFA PRO – Portuguese Football Federation license.
He coached the youth teams from Under-13, U-15 and U-19 at SC Penalva do Castelo before moving on to coach at Académica Coimbra U-19s and Sertanense FC.
Then Carlos Vaz Pinto moved abroad to coach Recreativo da Caála and Académica Lobito in Angola before returning to Portugal for FC Famalicão. Thereafter he coached Recreativo do Libolo (Angola), St. George (Ethiopia) and a second stint at FC Famalicão.
The last club was Gor Mahia in Kenya before now Carlos Vaz Pinto moves to India to join Sreenidi Deccan FC.
