Sevilla FC have agreement in principle with Real Madrid’s Isco in place!

Sevilla FC have reached an agreement in principle with Isco for the Andalusian midfielder to become the club’s third signing of the window.

He has already arrived in Sevilla ahead of undergoing his medical tomorrow and, should all go well, sign a two-year contract.

After starting off at CF Málaga’s Academy, ISco caught CF Valencia’s eye at the age of 14. He would make the move to Valencia’s Academy, making his first-team debut with the team in a cup match against Logroñés. In the 2010/11 season, he would play in two UEFA Champions League games and one LaLiga game.

Isco would return to Málaga in the summer of 2011 as they trigger his release clause. In his first season, he played 32 games in the league, scoring five goals. He helped the team qualify for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in their history. In that campaign, Isco played ten times and scored three goals.

In the 2012/13 season, he would play in almost every game, registering 37 appearances and nine goals. Such was his talent that at only 21 years of age Real Madrid would come looking. He could not have fit in better in his first season in Madrid, playing 53 games in total, scoring eleven and assisting nine. He would go on to win the Champions League and Copa del Rey that season.

The next season, he played 52 games. He added the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup to his name, in addition to six goals and thirteen assists. Isco would win the UEFA Champions League again in 2015/16.

The season after, he would win it all. The UEFA Champions League, LaLiga, the FIFA Club World Cup and another UEFA Super Cup. And his trophy cabinet kept on growing in the 2017/18 season, adding his fourth UEFA Champions League, his third UEFA Super Cup and his third FIFA Club World Cup.

The 2018/19 season brings another FIFA Club World Cup, with six goals and an assist in 37 games. The next season, the season of the COVID-19 outbreak, he wins another LaLiga and Spanish Super Cup. In his last two seasons at the club, he would see fewer appearances, but he still managed to come away with another UEFA Champions League, LaLiga and Spanish Super Cup.

In all, Isco has won: Five UEFA Champions Leagues, three LaLiga titles, one Copa del Rey, three UEFA Super Cups, three Spanish Super Cups and four FIFA Club World Cups.
