Cavalry FC launch Blizzard Camouflage kit!

Cavalry FC have launched their third kit for the 2024 CPL Season, the Blizzard Camo kit.

The kit marks the first time the club has issued three kits in a single season, each with a distinctive design and story. The design of the newest kit is blizzard inspired, a nod to the club’s inaugural home match on May 4, 2019, which saw a heavy snowfall and frozen pitch. The match went ahead, and Cavalry saw a 2-1 win over York United FC as supporters filled the stands despite the cold.

Since that first match six seasons ago, Cavalry FC has lifted two Regular Season titles, including the first-ever CPL Shield, introduced in 2023. This success led to the club qualifying for the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup, where Cavalry FC faced MLS side Orlando City SC in the first round of the tournament.

The camouflage design is a nod to the military and its ties with both Cavalry and Spruce Meadows. The green trim represents the club’s mantra of blood over grass, with the alternate logo featured on the back of the kit in the club’s red and green colours.

“We are very fortunate to be able to work with the talented design team at Macron,” said Ian Allison, President & C.O.O., Cavalry FC. “Our new bespoke blizzard camo kit pays homage to our club’s respect and ties to the military, while also taking pride in being Canada’s northern most professional soccer club. On a historic note, we couldn’t resist a nod to our past and our inaugural home opener in May 2019 during an Alberta spring snow event.”
