Cenk Ozkacar leaves Olympique Lyonnais for Valencia CF!

Olympique Lyonnais announces the permanent transfer of their defender Cenk Özkaçar to Valencia CF. The Spanish club, which had initially brought in the Turkish international on a paid loan last summer (€500,000), has decided to exercise the buyout option set at €5 million for the 22-year-old player.

Having arrived at OL in 2020 for a fee of €1.5 million after spending 6 years at his youth club Altay, Cenk Özkaçar was loaned out last season to Louvain in Belgium, where he played 34 matches. He then secured another loan move to Valencia CF in August 2022.

With his new club, the Izmir-born defender participated in 21 matches across all competitions, contributing to Valencia’s survival in La Liga and earning his first appearances for the Turkish national team.
