Champions Aizawl FC sign Ivorian striker Leonce Dodoz for upcoming I-League!

Defending champions Aizawl FC have signed Ivory Coast striker Leonce Dodoz for the upcoming 2017/18 I-League as a potential replacement for fellow countryman Kamo Stephane Bayi.

Born in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Leonce Dodoz started his career at Ivorian top tier club JC Abidjan, before moving to Nepal in 2012 with Friends Club. Dodoz joined Three Star Club the next season and won the Nepal Football League in his debut season with the club. In 2014 Dodoz switched allegiance to another Nepalese outfit Manang Marshyangdi Club. Dodoz also has the experience of playing in the Vietnamese V-League.

Then Leonce Dodoz moved to India to play for Gangtok Himalayan SC in the Second Division League and there Dodoz showed excellent form and finished as the team’s top scorer in the final round of the Second Division League, which included three goals against Mohammedan Sporting over the two legs.

Thereafter Mohammedan Sporting signed him for whom he played in the Calcutta Football League and then Leonce Dodoz played for Aizawl FC rivals Chanmari FC and with them won the Mizoram Premier League before thereafter rejoining Mohammedan Sporting Club for their Second Division League campaign.

Leonce Dodoz is currently playing for Peerless SC in the Calcutta Football League – Premier Division ‘A’ and after finishing his assignment in Kolkata, he would join his new side.
