Chandigarh Youth League – Day 5: St. Soldiers FC & Warriors FC escape with a point as League takes an intense turn!

Mondays are never the same for those who are participating in the ongoing Chandigarh Youth League – Season 2 organised by Minerva Punjab FC where over 200 youngsters from across the TriCity area are putting their best to get their hands on the glittering Trophy. the Month long tournament has now entered its fifth day and the participants are leaving no stone unturned to get the best of every match they play at the 10 acre lush green Minerva Academy’s Football Grounds.

Open Category: In the Open Category, Phoenix FC played a goalless draw against VHS Academy early in the morning followed by Tiger FC who held St. Soldiers FC with the same scoreline. Warriors FC however scored a goal thru Divyansh but Rishiraj’s late equaliser for Strikers FC earned them a single point. In the other encounter Joga Bonito FC went down fighting to 7 Star with a scoreline of 0-3 that saw Vuchipui score twice and Abhijeet score the lone strike.

U-16 Category: Rebel FC played out a draw than saw Tamya’s first half opener cancelled out by Anmol of St. Soldiers FC leaving both teams to settle down with a single point each. In the other encounter Pythons FC defeated Kabir FC with a scoreline of 1-0 that saw Yash score for Pythons.

U-14 Category: Dikshant FC went down fighting to Vivek High Soccer Academy 2 with a scoreline of 1-0 that saw Vikaan score for VHS, In the other encounter CR7 held Vivek High Soccer Academy 1 to a goalless draw.
