The Chandigarh Youth League (CYL 2019), picked up momentum as we get into Day 9 of the tournament. The storm from the night before only foretold what awaited us all the following day.
In the Under-10 age category, group A saw Velocity A taking away all their three points. All the credit goes to Satyam who bags all of the two goals scored in the match. However they stumbled a bit in their second match losing 1-3 Kids R Kids A, but still managed to retain the top position in the table. The runners up of the group A, St. Stephens 2 storm into semifinal thanks to Nodit as he helped them secure a 2-1 victory. Strawberry B and Dikshant however both however got a one point to their consolation.
Group B had its own storm brewing up, as table toppers Velocity B displayed a thunderous performance, thanks to their wonderkid Piyush who struck in a hattrick, ensuring a flawless streak and placing them securely into the semis. The runner-ups, Kids R Kids B themselves displayed a brilliant performance as they grabbed three points with a 2-0 scoreline, thanks to their marquee player Nirbhay. And like a cherry on top Dikshanth FA 1 had their own wonder tale to tell as they scored 4-1 thanks to electrifying performance by Priyansh.
The tournament is turning out to be a gift that keeps on giving as these fuzzy toddlers come in with no holds barred. With Day 9 the group stages are concluded and now the U-8, U-10, and U-12 tournament will kick off its semifinal stages.
