Chanmari Futsal Club inaugural Mizoram Futsal League champions!

The ‘RFL Plastics’ Mizoram Football Association Futsal League was concluded on Friday, February 23 night at the R. Dengthuama Hall in Aizawl with Chanmari Futsal Club emerging as the inaugural MFA Futsal League champions.

Chanmari Futsal Club overcame Chhinga Veng Futsal Club with a 6-5 victory in a thrilling final.

16 teams contested for the trophy in the first-ever Futsal League under the All India Football Federation. The League kickstarted in January with teams divided into two groups of 8.

The top four teams from each group qualified for the quarterfinals which was played in a double-legged tie along with the semifinals and the final being a one-off.

A total of more than Rs. 200,000 (2 lakhs) were distributed in prize money, and the Mizoram Football Association in collaboration with Zonet TV provided live telecasts for all the matches in the league.
