Chhinga Veng FC climb back up to fourth in MPL!

A 1-0 victory against rivals Chanmari FC was enough for Chhinga Veng FC to climb back into the top four of MPL-9.

A clash between two former champions at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium on Friday afternoon resulted in a goalless first half with neither side unable to create much in terms of clear cut opportunities.

And it took all of 78 minutes to break the deadlock after Chhinga Veng FC were awarded a penalty. Johny Lalremruata converted the spot kick to seal an important three points for his side.

Chhinga Veng currently find themselves in fourth with 18 points, one above Chawnpui FC who are still in the hunt for a top four finish with two league games to go.

Meanwhile Chanmari FC are still at the bottom of the table, two points from 7th place FC Bethlehem.
