City Football Group’s Tom Glick to speak at Soccerex USA!

Soccerex have announce that Tom Glick, Chief Commercial Officer at City Football Group (CFG) and Managing Director of City Football Marketing has been confirmed as a speaker for the inaugural Soccerex USA taking place in Miami on November 15/16.

Tom will be giving delegates an insight into the Group’s international development across its portfolio of clubs and soccer related businesses with a special focus on Manchester City FC’s activities in the US and the growth of their Major League Soccer franchise New York City FC.

Since being established in 2013, City Football Group has had a huge impact on the global soccer landscape, leading Manchester City to two Premier League titles following the club’s first title in 2011/12. They have also launched a hugely successful Manchester City Women’s side and the state of the art City Football Academy on the Etihad Campus as well as taking ownership of clubs in the US and Australia and securing part ownership of clubs in Japan, Uruguay and Spain. Under the guidance of Sporting Director, Claudio Reyna and Head Coach Patrick Vieira and with a roster that has included top international talent such as David Villa, Andrea Pirlo and Frank Lampard, their New York based franchise New York City FC has quickly established itself as one of the major brands in MLS.

Tom is a highly respected sports management professional who has spent more than twenty-five years working in baseball, basketball, hockey and soccer in both the USA and the UK. He joined CFG in 2012 from Derby County FC, serving as both Chief Commercial and Operating Officer for Manchester City FC, also helping to build CFG’s portfolio of clubs. In 2015, Tom returned to USA to become President of New York City FC before returning to the UK in 2016 to take on his current role of CFG Commercial Officer and Managing Director of City Football Marketing, whose services include partnership sales and activation, content production and distribution, retail and licensing, marketing, membership and fan engagement for all of CFG’s clubs.

Speaking on the announcement of Tom Glick’s involvement in Soccerex USA, Soccerex Marketing Director David Wright commented,

The two day event will take place at Miami’s iconic Marlins Park and will comprise an exhibition showcasing the latest soccer business, performance and technology innovations.
