Prelims: Six teams

The 2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup will begin with a Preliminary Round (Prelims) played at Dignity Health Sports Park Track and Field Stadium on February 17, 2024. The six national teams participating in this round, determined via the 2023 Road to CONCACAF W Gold Cup, will be divided into three pairings according to the CONCACAF Women’s Ranking as of December 2023.

After single-match elimination play, the winning team in each pairing will advance to the 2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup Group Stage. Thus far, El Salvador has secured its participation in the Prelims. The remaining five participants will be confirmed at the conclusion of the 2023 Road to CONCACAF W Gold Cup.

Group Stage: 12 teams

The Prelims will be followed by a 12-national team Group Stage that includes the participation of eight CONCACAF national teams and four CONMEBOL guests. CONMEBOL’s national teams have been invited to participate as part of a strategic collaboration agreement between both Confederations.

For Group Stage play, national teams will be split into three groups of four. After round-robin group stage play, which will occur between February 20-28, 2024, at Dignity Health Sports Park (Group A), Snapdragon Stadium (Group B), and Shell Energy Stadium (Group C), the group winners, runners-up, and the two best third-place finishers will advance to the tournament’s Quarterfinals.

Knockout Stage: Eight teams

The Knockout Stage will commence with the Quarterfinals at BMO Stadium on March 2 and 3, followed by the Semifinals and Final at Snapdragon Stadium on March 6 and 10, respectively.

The Quarterfinal pairings will be determined based on the Group Stage standings, with the national team accumulating the most points facing the national team accumulating the least points (1 vs 8, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 6, and 4 vs 5).
