This Tuesday CONMEBOL announced the dates for the 2024 CONMEBOL Copa America, which will be held in the United States on June 20 – July 14, 2024.
The 48th edition of the tournament will be co-organized by the Confederations and will feature all 10 members from CONMEBOL and six guest nations from CONCACAF.
The six teams from CONCACAF will be determined via the 2023-24 CONCACAF Nations League in which the four semifinalists, along with two Copa America qualifying play-off winners, will punch their ticket to the 2024 Copa America.
The participation of CONCACAF teams is part of strategic collaboration agreement to strengthen and develop football in both regions. The agreement will also include four CONMEBOL guest women’s national teams competing in the inaugural CONCACAF W Gold Cup in February and March 2024.
