Delhi FC have secured their spot in the next round of the Reliance Foundation Developmental League after a thrilling match against Sudeva Delhi FC in their final group stage encounter.
The stakes were high as a draw would have been enough for Delhi FC to progress, but Sudeva Delhi, last season’s runner up, were determined to make it a tough fight.
From the first whistle, Delhi FC showed their hunger and determination, taking the lead with a goal from Akash in the 14th minute of the game.
Sudeva Delhi fought hard, but Delhi FC maintained their dominance throughout the match. However, Sudeva Delhi managed to equalize late in the second half, resulting in a 1-1 draw.
With this result, Delhi FC finished the group stage with 19 points from 10 matches, securing their spot in the National Group Stage Qualifiers of the tournament, along with knocking out last year’s runners up, Sudeva Delhi FC from the competition.
The next round will be held in Mumbai, where Delhi FC will face even tougher competition as they continue their quest for glory.
