After succeeding in the Bundesliga and in the DFB German Cup, FC Bayern München has also won the UEFA Champions League and thus made the “treble” perfect. FC Bayern won the final against Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday with an 1:0 victory.
DFL CEO Christian Seifert congratulated by saying, “Hansi Flick and his team deserve the highest respect for their impressive performances over the past few months and their victory over Paris Saint-Germain. In this unusual year, there were different periods of time between the respective national seasons and the Champions League final tournament, and it was exciting to see how the clubs from the different leagues have dealt with this situation. FC Bayern found its own way – and simply carried on as if there had been no break at all.”
