Two-time I-League champions Gokulam Kerala FC have signed Domingo Oramas as the new head coach of their men’s senior team. The 49-year-old Spanish coach, who has more than 20 years of coaching experience, comes to the club aiming for a third I-League title.
Oramas’ coaching career highlights include winning the Las Palmas Football Federation Coach of the Year 2014, and a history of working with renowned clubs and players.
Oramas has excelled in various coaching roles throughout his career. He was the head coach of UD San Fernando in Spain. Under him, San Fernando were promoted to the third tier of Spanish football.
Oramas’ international experience includes working as a scout and assistant director of football for Independiente del Valle in Ecuador, where he played a key role in identifying and recruiting talented young players. He prepared the first-team players for a successful season that culminated in winning the 2019 Copa Sudamericana. Oramus’ ability to analyze opponents has also been a key factor in his teams’ success.
Gokulam Kerala FC’s decision to sign Oramas is a strategic move aimed at reinforcing the club’s commitment to excellence and success.
In a coaching career spanning more than a decade, Oramas honed his skills as an assistant coach, video analyst and scouting opponents for the UD Las Palmas first team.
His coaching style and dedication to developing young talent has won the U-19 team multiple championships.
