DSK Shivajians FC, Pune’s only representative in the I-League 2016/17 have rewarded season ticket holder Abdul Waheed with a DSK Benelli TNT 25 Superbike on the day of their last home game of the season against Minerva Punjab FC.
The bike was part of a contest the club run throughout the season, where Season Ticket holders would be rewarded for their loyalty through a lucky draw. In addition to the Grand Prize of a DSK Benelli Superbike, the club also tied up with Panasonic Smartphones and offered fans a chance to win a Smartphone at every home game.
DSK Shivajians, who have currently completed their second season in the I-League, finished in seventh position with 18 points from as many games. The highlights of their season include a 5-0 drubbing of state rivals Mumbai FC as well as Away Wins against Shillong Lajong FC and East Bengal Club, the first league away wins in the history of the club.
The club have been drawn with Mohun Bagan AC, Bengaluru FC and Shillong Lajong FC in the 2017 Federation Cup to be played in Cuttack, Orissa and will play their first game against the Kolkata giants on May 8.
