East Bengal announce squad for 64th Bordoloi Trophy in Guwahati!

East Bengal training 1East Bengal Club will leave for Guwahati today to participate in the 64th edition of the Lokapriya Gopinath Bordoloi Trophy which is being held under floodlights from September 18 to 30 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Guwahati.

This year the championship is an eight-team affair and is being played on a league-cum-knockout basis. The participating teams include East Bengal Club, Shillong Lajong FC, Nepal Three Star, United Sikkim FC, Flamingo of Nagaland, Oil India FC, ASEB Sports Club and Bongobi Agragami from Bangladesh, who have been divided into two groups of four teams each. After the league phase the top two teams from each group will qualify for semifinals. The match kick-off at 7pm.

East Bengal will take on ASEB on September 21, Bongobi Agragami on September 24, United Sikkim on September 27.

The Bordoloi Trophy 2016 matches will be televised LIVE only on Prag News, which is available under Airtel (617), Tata (1966), Dish (779),Videocon (846), Siti (879) on the relevent platform.

Nine East Bengal Football Academy players are part of the squad which has Ranjan Chowdhury as the head coach.
