Kolkata giants East Bengal FC after another disappointing ISL campaign have announced the departure of 11 players.
The 11 released players include Suvam Sen, Naveen Kumar, Charalambos Kyriacou, Jerry Lalrinzuala, Sumit Passi, Alex Lima, Jordan O’Doherty, Amarjit Singh Kiyam, Semboi Haokip, Jake Jervis and Himanshu Jangra.
The red and gold are currently in a rebuilding phase after the appointment of Spaniard Carles Cuadrat as the new club coach.
Amongst the released players are four of the clubs foreigners in Charalambos Kyriacou, Alex Lima, Jordan O’Doherty, and Jake Jervis. While Brazilian striker Cleiton Silva has been retained, Spanish defender Ivan Gonzalez still has another year on his contract, but the club is undecided if to retain him or not.
