Kolkata giants East Bengal FC have announced the signing of Serbian defender Aleksandar Pantic as replacement for the injured Jose Antonio Pardo.
31 year old Aleksandar Pantic, who was born in Arandjelovac in then Yugoslavia, is a product of the renowned Partizan Belgrade Academy.
At senior level he went on to represent FK Rad, Red Star Belgrade, CF Villarreal with loan spells at UF Córdoba, SD Eibar, Deportivo Alavés, then moved to Dynamo Kyiv, a loan spell at CF Cádiz, Doxa Katokopias FC, a loan at AEL Limassol, Zagłębie Lubin, CD Lugo and he returned for a second spell to Doxa Katokopias FC.
As a free agent, the former Serbia junior international Aleksandar Pantic now moves to the Indian Super League to join the Red and Gold.
Pantic comes in as a replacement for Spaniard Jose Antonio Pardo, who picked up a foot injury which will not allow him to return to action before the end of the ongoing 2023/24 season.
