Kolkata giants East Bengal Club have announced the signing of experienced Spanish striker Marcos Espada Martín for the 2019/20 season.
The 33 year old Marcos Jiménez de la Espada Martín was born in the island of Majorca, where he played at youth level for SD La Salle and CD San Francisco.
He made his senior debut for CE Constància in the 2004/05 season before representing RCD Mallorca B and UE Sant Andreu, where he spend time on loan for Orihuela CF.
Thereafter Marcos played for CF Sporting Mahonés before returning to UE Sant Andreu. He then had a strong four year spell at Gimnàstic de Tarragona.
In 2016, Marcos ventured out to Asia to sign for Kitchee SC in Hong Kong. He thereafter played for rival side Southern District FC. For the 2018/19 season, Marcos returned to his native Majorca to play for Atlético Baleares.
Now Marcos moves back to Asia to sign for East Bengal Club.
