East Bengal sign trio of youngster for 2020/21 season!

Kolkata giants East Bengal Club have made the signing of a trio of youngster ahead of the 2020/21 season in an effort to prepare a strong team for the new campaign.

The red and gold have signed goalkeeper Mohammed Rafique Ali Sardar, midfielder Wahengbam Angousana Luwang and winger Moirangthem Loken Meitei.

22 year old Kolkata-born goalkeeper Mohammad Rafique Ali Sardar played for city giants East Bengal and Mohun Bagan besides the Tata Football Academy at youth level. From TFA he progressed to ISL side Jamshedpur FC, where he was the understudy of seasoned keeper Subrata Pal.

22 year old Manipur-born Moirangthem Loken Meitei moves to Kolkata from TRAU FC where he spend the last season. The winger before that played for Royal Wahingdoh FC, Real Kashmir FC, Sagolband United and Kerala Blasters.

24 year old Wahengbam Angousana Luwang had his breakthrough season at TRAU FC being a regular in their midfield with 17 appearances which included two assists.

East Bengal have been very proactive in the transfer market with other players to have been signed by the red and gold being defenders Gurtej Singh, Novin Gurung, and Lalramchullova besides striker Balwant Singh, while the club is in talks with Bikash Jairu, Cavin Lobo, and Sehnaj Singh.
