Eric Ebimbe pens long-term Eintracht Frankfurt deal!

Eintracht Frankfurt has exercised their option to to buy 22-year-old French midfielder Eric Ebimbe, who has signed a contract through to June 30, 2027.

Éric Junior Dina Ebimbe moved on loan from serial French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain to Eintracht Frankfurt last summer and quickly went on to establish himself as a lynchpin of the team.

The 22-year-old has made 28 appearances in all competitions this season, getting three goals and as many assists in that time including the all-important winner in the 2-1 defeat of SC Freiburg last Saturday, which gave Eintracht seventh place in the final Bundesliga standings.

“In his first season already, Éric Junior has shown us the enormous potential that he has,” said Timmo Hardung, who will be taking over as sporting director at Eintracht Frankfurt on July 1, 2023. “We’re delighted that he is going to be staying at Eintracht and look forward to helping him continue on his promising development path.”
