Now FC Bengaluru United will focus on the Bangalore Super Division and the Second Division League with the aim of getting promoted to the I-League.
47 year old Sankarlal Chakraborty, who was born in Kolkata, played as a midfielder is a product of the Tata Football Academy and represented amongst others Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan AC and East Bengal Club.
Sankarlal Chakraborty worked as a coach as an assistant at the IFA Academy and Mohun Bagan before becoming the Mariners head coach. He would then go on to coach Bhowanipore FC (twice), Mohammedan Sporting and last season Sudeva Delhi FC.
