FC Goa come visiting Hyderabad FC as ISL action returns!

After an impressive display with an all-Indian squad at the Kalinga Super Cup recently, Hyderabad FC are back in Indian Super League action on February 1.

Manolo Marquez’s FC Goa come visiting to the GMC Balayogi Athletic Stadium in Gachibowli this Saturday.

The Gaurs could go top of the table with a win in this tie. But A young-looking HFC side will look to put on a strong performance in their first game after the restart.

Still unbeaten in the league after ten games, Goa look a strong outfit, more so with the additions of former HFC stars Mohammad Yasir and Nim Dorjee Tamang along with Borja Herrera, all of who will slot straight into the first team.

Noah Sadoui has been in destructive form while Carlos Martinez is also finding his feet in front of goal and will be the two danger men for the Nawabs in this game.

For Hyderabad, the departure of a few key players now gives chances to the young guns in the squad, brimming with confidence, as they showed in the Super Cup recently.

The likes of Makan Chothe, Ramhlunchhunga, Abdul Rabeeh, Mark Zothanpuia, Muhammed Rafi and Aaren D’Silva can all hold their fort and can trouble the visitors on the night.

“With the experience in the Goa team, it might be the biggest challenge they have faced for some of the youngsters in our squad,” he said.

“Performances are what we are looking at, and will we try our best to get the right results for sure. Whoever steps on the field tomorrow will surely give their best,” coach Thangboi added.

The game kicks off at 7:30 pm IST on Thursday, February 1, and will be telecasted live on Sports 18 and VH1, with free streaming on Jio Cinema.
