Mizoram Premier League club FC Venghnuai will enjoy a second season running in the state’s top flight league after a 5-1 aggregate victory over Kanan FC in the MPL9 Playoffs today.
FC Venghnuia who had finished 7th in the league this season took an early lead through J.H. Lianzuala in the 3rd minute in the second leg today at Lammual.
Isak Vanlalpeka added a second on the 31st minute whole Kanan FC were able to pull one back through a penaly from Joseph Lalvenhima three minutes later.
But Venghnuai were able to score another in the second period through Vanlalthanga in a playoff match up where they clearly took control for 180 minutes.
Vengnnuai FC had already won the first leg 2-0 with strikes from J.H. Lianzuala and Vanlalthanga on Monday afternoon.
