FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup tickets at stake in Mexico vs US, El Salvador vs Guatemala!

A berth in the 2021 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup in Russia will be on the line in the semifinals of the 2021 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship on Saturday, May 22 at the Sports Complex Fedefutbol-Plycem in Alajuela, Costa Rica.

The day will begin with Mexico taking on the United States in the first semifinal.

Both teams had to deal with challenges in their respective quarterfinal, with Mexico outlasting Bahamas 5-4 in extra time, while the U.S. narrowly defeated Panama 4-3.

It will also be a rematch of the 2019 CBSC Final when the Mexico downed the U.S. 6-2.

There is no shortage of firepower on both sides, with the U.S. relying on two-time CBSC top scorer Nicolas Perera, while Cristofher Castillo has delivered four goals for El Tricolor in the tournament.

The other semifinal will pit El Salvador against Guatemala.

The Cuscatlecos have been an attacking juggernaut in the 2021 CBSC, with a whopping 38 goals in their four games played, including nine in their quarterfinal triumph over Trinidad and Tobago in which both Ruben Batres and Francisco Velasquez had hattricks.

On the other side, Guatemala will be playing in their first ever CBSC semifinal after topping Costa Rica 6-4 in the quarterfinals.

The two sides met earlier in the tournament in the group stage, with El Salvador pocketing a 7-1 win.
