Earlier today the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking were released by the world football governing body and in the third rankings of 2022, India dropped two spots to 58th position behind Panama, but ahead of Cameroon.
India have 1426 points, the same like last quarter and stay in 12th position in the Asian (AFC) Women’s rankings.
The India Women could play their next matches as friendlies in the coming weeks and months.
In South Asia, India remain in top spot ahead of Nepal (102nd), Bangladesh (147th), Sri Lanka (153rd), the Maldives (156th) and Bhutan (176th) with Pakistan currently unranked.
There were changes in the top 5. The 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup winners United States (2,111 pts) stay top spot ahead new numbe two of UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 finalists Germany (2,060 pts) with Sweden (2,050 pts) dropping into third, while UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 champions England (2039 pts) move up into fourth while France (2,038 pts),drop into fifth to complete the top five.
