FIFA Women’s World Rankings: India drop to 65th, Spain new top side!

Earlier today the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking were released by the world football governing body and in the fourth rankings of 2023, India drop four spots to 65th position behind Bosnia-Herzegovina, but ahead of Ecuador.

India have 1,393 points, 21 points less than in the last quarter and drop to 13th position in the Asian (AFC) Women’s rankings.

The next matches of the India Women’s will be next year.

In South Asia, India remain in top spot ahead of Nepal (105th), Bangladesh (140th), Sri Lanka (157th), Pakistan (158th), the Maldives (162nd) and Bhutan (172nd).

There were multiple changes in the top 5. The new top side are 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup winners Spain (2,066 pts), ahead of the United States (2,045 pts) who gain two spots, France (2,022 pts) who gain a spot, UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 champions England (2,015 pts) remain fourth while Sweden (1,998 pts) drop four spots and complete the top five.
