Earlier today the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking were released by the world football governing body and in the first rankings of 2023, India stay in 61st position behind Greece, but ahead of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
India have 1,391 points, 14 points less as in the last quarter and moves up to 11th position in the Asian (AFC) Women’s rankings.
The India Women next will play in the 2024 Olympic Football qualifiers.
In South Asia, India remain in top spot ahead of Nepal (100th), Bangladesh (140th), Sri Lanka (155th), the Maldives (159th), Pakistan (161st) and Bhutan (178th).
There was no change in the top 5. The 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup winners United States (2,091 pts) stay top spot ahead of UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 finalists Germany (2,068 pts), Sweden (2,065 pts), UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 champions England (2,056 pts) and France (2,021 pts) complete the top five.
