Earlier today the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking were released by the world football governing body and in the fifth rankings of 2022, India stay in 61st position behind Croatia, but ahead of Greece.
India have 1406 points, the same as in the last quarter and stay in 12th position in the Asian (AFC) Women’s rankings.
The India Women could play their next matches as friendlies in the coming months.
In South Asia, India remain in top spot ahead of Nepal (103rd), Bangladesh (140th), Sri Lanka (155th), the Maldives (159th), Pakistan (160th) and Bhutan (177th).
There was one change in the top 5. The 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup winners United States (2,079 pts) stay top spot ahead new number two UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 finalists Germany (2,074 pts) and Sweden (2,058 pts) dropping into third, while UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 champions England (2,053 pts) and France (2,026 pts) complete the top five.
