FIFA World Rankings: India drop to 107th, Belgium stay No. 1!

FIFA - Coca Cola Mens World RankingEarlier today, the latest FIFA ‘Coca Cola’ Men’s World Ranking were released by the world football governing body and in the September rankings, India are down in 107th behind Namibia, but ahead of Sierra Leone; while 2018 FIFA World Cup semifinalists Belgium stays No. 1.

India have 1181 points, one more than last month and they stay in 19th position of the Asian (AFC) rankings.

India played two friendlies in Nepal with a draw and win and will next play in the SAFF Championship next month.

In South Asia, India remain in top spot ahead of the Maldives (158th), Nepal (168th), Bhutan (187th), Bangladesh (189th), Pakistan (198th) and Sri Lanka (205th) in what was another mixed month for the region.

There were some changes across the top 5. Belgium (1,832 points) stay No. 1, ahead of second-placed Brazil (1,811 points), while England (1,755 pts) move up a spot, 2018 FIFA World Cup winners France (1,754 pts) drop a spot, and recent 2020 UEFA European Championship winners Italy (1,735 points) to complete the top five.
