Fiji’s Roy Krishna extends his contract with ATK Mohun Bagan until 2022!

On Mohun Bagan Day, ATK Mohun Bagan have announced that Fiji captain Roy Krishna that he has extended his contract by another season until summer 2022.

Indian origin Roy Krishna had come to Kolkata in 2019 from Australian A-League side Wellington Phoenix, where he played five season and in his last season in the A-League, Roy Krishna won the golden-boot award and the Johnny Warren medal of the A-League.

On extending his contract, Roy Krishna said, “Since I decided to leave the Pacific and head to India, I’ve felt so much at home with the club and the people of Kolkata. If it wasn’t for the pandemic it would have not needed any convincing but as usual, the club management has gone out of its way to ensure that I and my family would be safe and protected despite the risks of the pandemic and convinced me to stay. I would like to thank Mr. Goenka and his team for keeping the trust in me.”

“I would be failing the fans if I didn’t also mention this, but the ATK Mohun Bagan fans have been so supportive and they continue to show me so much love virtually that I feel they are more than just an extension of the club, they are a very integral part of who ATK Mohun Bagan is.”
