Four positive in latest round of Premier League COVID-19 tests!

The Premier League today, November 15 confirmed that between Monday, November 8 and Sunday, November 14, across two rounds of testing, 1.647 players and club staff were tested for COVID-19. Of these, there were four positive tests.

In line with testing provisions in healthcare, the Premier League will use lateral flow tests this season, and anyone who tests positive will then take a PCR test to confirm the result.

The Premier League is providing this aggregated information for the purposes of competition integrity and transparency. No specific details as to clubs or individuals will be provided by the League and results will be made public on a weekly basis.

Round 1: August 2-8 – 3.118 tested, with nine testing positive.

Round 2: August 9-15 – 3.231 tested, with 11 testing positive.

Round 3: August 16-22 – 3.060 tested, with 16 testing positive.

Round 4: August 23-29 – 3.020 tested, with six testing positive.

Round 5: August 30 – September 5 – 1.952 tested, with two testing positive.

Round 6: September 6-12 – 3.039 tested, with three testing positive.

Round 7: September 13-19 – 3.154 tested, with three testing positive.

Round 8: September 20-26 – 3.010 tested, with one testing positive.

Round 8: September 27 – October 3 – 2.927 tested, with four testing positive.

Round 9: October 4-10 – 1.696 tested, with zero testing positive.

Round 10: October 11-17 – 3.044 tested, with six testing positive.

Round 11: October 18-24 – 3.209 tested, with four testing positive.

Round 12: October 25-31 – 3.006 tested, with four testing positive.

Round 13: November 1-7 – 2.953 tested, with three testing positive.
