Frank Kramer appointed new Arminia Bielefeld head coach!

Struggling Bundesliga club DSC Arminia Bielefeld have appointed Frank Kramer as their new head coach following the dismissal of Uwe Neuhaus on Monday. The 48 year old coach has signed a contract with the Bundesliga side until June 30, 2023 and he has already conducted a first training earlier today.

“We had convincing discussions with Frank Kramer and are looking forward to the joint task of further developing our team in all areas. Frank is a multi-faceted trainer with a lot of experience in the professional and junior sector. We’re convinced that, with his professional and analytical qualities, he’s the type of coach who fits the Arminia path and who we need for the next steps in our development,” said Arminia Bielefelds Managing Director Sport Samir Arabi.

Frank Kramer said: “Arminia has made great progress in the last couple of years and it is an exciting club with a serious and forward-looking ambition. I’m happy to be part of it now. I look forward to work with the players and the whole team.”

Kramer has previously worked as head coach at SpVgg. Greuther Fürth (2004-2011 and 2013-2015), TSG Hoffenheim (2011-2013) and Fortuna Düsseldorf (2015). He has also coached the Germany U-18, U-19 and U-20 national teams between 2016 and 2019, before he joined Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg as their Head of Youth Department and U-19 head coach.
