Germany’s Stefan Kuntz named new Turkey head coach!

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) executive committee has agreed terms with German coach Stefan Kuntz to take helm at the Turkey senior national team.

58 year old Neunkirchen-born Stefan Kuntz returns to Turkey, where he spend a season as a player with Besiktas Istanbul in 1995/96, to try and qualify the Turkish national team to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. What makes it difficult is the fact that Turkey are in a group alongside the Netherlands, Norway, Montenegro, Latvia and Gibraltar.

At the Turkish national team, Stefan Kuntz replaces Şenol Güneş.

Stefan Kuntz, who until recently very successfully coached the Germany Under-21s, will be presented to the media with a contract signing ceremony on Monday, September 20 at 15:00h at the TFF’s national training centre in Riva, Istanbul.
