In the day’s other match, Cavelossim controlled the game in the first session but only scored one goal against Salgaocar FC in the 38th minute through Melwyn Fernandes for the 1-0 lead at the break.

Things changed after the change of ends, but Salgaocar needed until the 70th minute to equalise through Joel Martins and they then took the lead through substitute Naro Hari Shrestha in the 82nd minute. But the match was heading for a climax as Cavelossim equalised only four minutes later with Melwyn Fernandes scoring his second goal of the day. Salgaocar would have the last laugh as Balwinder Singh scored the 3-2 winner a minute from time.
