Both teams will see this as a perfect opportunity to take massive strides in the table.

Speaking about the upcoming match Gaffer Mateus Costa said, “We had some fantastic training sessions over the last few days. Our boys are looking in good shape. Mood within the camp has been really positive especially after the victory against Dempo.”

Speaking about the performance in the previous matches Costa said, “We stuck to our plan that was very important, we executed our plan from the practice sessions on the pitch and it gave us the result we needed.”

Costa further stressed on the need to maintain pressure on the table toppers, he said “This is an important phase of the tournament, we need to keep our focus and make sure we collect maximum points. We should try and reduce the gap on top which will put us in a good position going forward.”

Speaking about the opponents Costa said, “Cavelossim has a good young squad, we need to be very careful with them. We are expecting a good fight on Thursday.”

Costa’s team is ridden with injuries; the Gaffer is missing some of his key players in the likes of Clemente Joseph, Cajetan Fernandes, Joesph Pereira to name few.

Speaking about the injuries Costa said, “Well injuries are inevitable, we have to make the best of what we have. This is also a good opportunity for the other boys to step up and prove themselves. We have the necessary depth in our squad for situations like this and I am confident whoever replaces them will do equally well.”
