Defending I-League champions Gokulam Kerala FC have announced the signing of central midfielder Sinivasan Pandiyan.
26 year old Pandiyan is the youngest of three brothers, all of them footballers. Born and raised 350 kilometres from Chennai in the temple town of Thanjavur, Pandiyan, just like his older brothers, received his initial training at the Noble Football Academy in Karaikudi district.
He then went on to play for Indian Bank in the 2015/16 season followed by Viva Chennai in 2016/17 in the Chennai Football Association (CFA) Senior Division League. He then went on to play for Chennai City FC at the national level.
Strong performances in the I-League earned Pandiyan a move to ISL side Chennaiyin FC but after three seasons with only one match to his name and a loan spell at Chennai City FC, Pandiyan was out of contract in the summer.
Now Sinivasan Pandiyan starts a new chapter with Gokulam Kerala FC back in the I-League.
