Two-time I-League champions Gokulam Kerala FC have signed 29-year-old Spanish winger Nili Perdomo, who has played for various clubs around the world.
Starting his career in UD Las Palmas’ youth set-up, Nili rose through the ranks and made his LaLiga debut in the 2015–16 season.
His exceptional skills caught the attention of FC Barcelona and he joined their reserve team and was given the opportunity to participate in pre-season tours and Copa del Rey games. He also scored two goals in the Spanish second division for the FC Barcelona reserve side.
After his time with FC Barcelona, Nili moved into the Spanish second division, playing for Albacete Balompi in the 2017–18 season.
He signed with Greek club Platanias FC for the 2019-20 season. Nili’s impressive performances in Greece led him to India, where he joined Bengaluru FC for the 2020–21 season, scoring two goals in ten appearances.
Expressing his excitement at joining Gokulam Kerala FC, Nili Perdomo said, “It is a pleasure to be a part of Gokulam Kerala FC and I look forward to contributing to the team’s ambitions. The club’s track record of success and their determination to win the I-League title for the third time. Aligns with my goals as a player.
