Nine teams will battle for the 2022 AFF Futsal Championship title following the official draw on Monday, February 21.
The 2022 AFF Futsal Championship – Thailand will also serve as ASEAN’s qualifying tournament to the 2022 AFC Futsal Asian Cup – Kuwait, with three teams to advance to the Finals.
Defending champions Thailand, who have won the AFF Futsal Championship 15 times, were drawn in Group A with Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia and Brunei Darussalam.
Group B will see Vietnam, Myanmar, Timor-Leste and Australia vying for the semifinal berths.
The tournament, scheduled for April 3-12, will be played at the Huamark Indoor Stadium in Bangkok.
The remaining 2022 AFC Futsal Asian Cup – Kuwait qualifiers – the combined Central and South Zones, East Zone and West Zone – are scheduled for April 1-15 with 15 teams – including the three from ASEAN – to join hosts Kuwait in the Finals.
