Haiti’s Sony Norde to return to Mohun Bagan for I-League!

Haiti international winger Sony Norde has himself announced on Facebook that he would return to Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan AC for the upcoming 2017/18 I-League.

Sony Norde has been in talks with a number of Indian Super League franchises besides talking to Mohun Bagan and finally decided to sign for the Mariners, where he has had quite some success over the last three seasons winning the I-League and Federation Cup, while also playing for Mumbai City FC in two ISL campaigns.

Mohun Bagan will have spend an undisclosed big figure sum to bring Sony Norde back for the upcoming I-League and not allow him switch to the Indian Super League.

Mohun Bagan are currently playing the Calcutta Football League with their three foreigners being Nigerian defender Eze Kingsley, Liberian attacking midfielder Ghanefo Ansumana Kromah and Ivory Coast striker Kamo Stephane Bayi; while the club has also signed Australian Diogo Ferreira, Cameroonian striker Aser Pierrick Dipanda Dicka and Japanese midfielder Yuta Kinowaki for the I-League besides Sony Norde.

It will be interesting to see which six players would be the foreign contingent of the Mariners in the I-League with the CFL trio fighting for a place to be confirmed for the whole season.
