India youth coach Nicolai Adam has announced the India Under-16 national team squad for the AIFF Youth Cup 2016. The inaugural edition of the five-nation tournament will start in Goa on Sunday, May 15.
The India Juniors will kick-off its campaign against Malaysia U-16 tomorrow, before they continue against Tanzania U-17 on May 17, the United States U-17 on May 19 and Korea Republic U-17 on May 23.
The 3rd Place Match and the Final will take place on May 25.
The league stage games and knockout matches will be played at the Tilak Maidan in Vasco, Goa.
The AIFF Youth Cup is an initiative by the All India Football Federation to give the Indian team quality exposure ahead of the 2016 AFC Under-16 Championship Finals and the 2017 FIFA Under-17 World Cup India.
