hummel announce Lukas Podolski as new brand ambassador!

From January 1, 2022, German football legend Lukas Podolski will be the new global football and brand ambassador for the Danish sportswear brand hummel. The 36-year-old FIFA World Cup winner has signed a five-year contract with hummel.

He has played 130 games for the German national team and scored 49 goals. He won the Bundesliga title with FC Bayern Munich, the FA Cup with Arsenal, the Turkish Super Cup with Galatasaray, the Japanese Kaiser Cup with Vissel Kobe and in 2014 he won the FIFA World Cup.

Podolski will be a central figure in hummel’s global marketing campaigns in the years to come.

hummel CEO Allan Vad Nielsen said, “Lukas Podolski is a fantastic addition for us. He has achieved so much in his career, but, more importantly, he was also extremely influential in global football and not least in youth culture – especially in Germany.”

Lukas Podolski began his professional career with his childhood club 1.FC Köln in the German Bundesliga and quickly became known for his strong and dangerous left foot. Today he plays for the hummel club Górnik Zabrze in the highest Polish football league.
