Hyderabad FC hand youngsters Asish Rai & Mohammad Yasir contracts until 2023!

Indian Super League newcomers Hyderabad FC have announced the contract extensions of youngsters Asish Rai and Mohammad Yasir until summer 2023.

21 year old right-back Ashish Rai is a product of the Pune FC Football Academy, who also played for the FC Pune City Academy before playing for the AIFF Developmental side Indian Arrows from 2017 to 2019. He then joined Hyderabad FC at the start of the ISL-6 season.

Ashish Rai said, “I’m delighted to be staying at this club for another 3 years. I want to thank my family and coaches who have helped me reach here. I can’t wait to start working with coach Albert Roca for next season.”

21 year old Manipur-born midfielder Mohammad Yasir who also is a product of the Pune FC Football Academy and played for the FC Pune City Academy before spending a season each with FC Goa and FC Pune City before joining Hyderabad FC.

Mohammad Yasir said, “It means everything to me to sign a new contract with this club. It’s a proud day for me and my family. I’m thankful to the club management who have always had faith in me, and I look forward to the coming seasons. The hard work is only just starting, and I want to do my best to contribute as much as I can to help the club in the coming times.”

Albert Roca, who will coach Hyderabad FC next season, said, “I am very happy that these two talented and dedicated youngsters, Yasir and Asish have committed their long-term future here at Hyderabad FC. They have done well for the club this season and given their potential, I am sure they will improve more and help us to achieve our targets in the coming season.”
